Privately guided safaris
Due to our extensive hands-on experience throughout the big-game destinations of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, AMS is able to design your ultimate epic adventures. Whether your preference is mobile safaris, walking trails, tented camps, luxury lodges, houseboats or hotels.
Our safari history in Botswana commenced as far back as 1992. It was during the heady days of the industry, where Maun was only reached by a horrific dirt track, the reserves were uncharted, and there were literally only a handful of lodges up and running. To get to Maun was considered an overland safari of proportion, and Crocodile Camp was almost at the end of the line. The infrastructure of today was non-existent and to survive the challenges of safari life one has to be armed with a certain degree of resilience, adaptability and a cool head ... not to mention loaded with the spirit of adventure! It is with this spirit - which has survived intact for over two decades - that we invite you on safari!
Namibia was, and still is, a wild and vast land. It is not for the under-prepared or faint hearted, and experience of travel logistics and distances required to get around is crucial. Where do you find fuel in the desert? How long does it take to cover kilometer on a remote mountain track? What a place to be!
There are so many stunning camps to choose from, not to mention the remote game reserves. But travel in Zambia can be challenging, and how do you combine the best on offer, in a desired timeline, for the best value?
So much bad press, and quite justified we should add, has led to a rather sad reputation as a leading safari destination. But Zim has so much to offer - great destinations and fantastic hospitality. If you know where to look and who to use, that is.

Botswana is considered the elephant capital of the universe. And rightly so. Huge numbers herds roam freely through the countries vast and diverse wilderness ensure memorable encounters on so many different levels.
The Epic Elephant Expedition is exactly what it implies: a monumental adventure tracking the world's largest land mammal on foot, by canoe, by boat and by vehicle, through breathtaking wild-lands. And discovering that elephant are indeed highly intelligent and sentient animals, capable of advanced and fascinating behaviour.
Through a combination of encounters in the bush, presentations on the hot topics of elephant conservation, speaking to retired ivory poachers, meeting established scientists, and hospitable discussions around remote campfires, we slowly discover the crucial part elephants play in the ecological vibrancy of an eco-system. And how we can all become actively involved in elephant conservation.

The route incorporates a classic journey through the wildest big-game viewing regions in Botswana and Namibia staying at a combination of camps ranging from luxury tents, mobile fly-camps and a triple deck houseboat.
